Okehampton Food Bank provides transparency and accountability to all of our donors by publishing frequent reports on how we use donations.
We receive donations in both cash and food. Cash donations are preferred. We can buy what we need when we need it. Food donations are a tangible way the community can get together and help their local food bank and for that, we are most grateful.
If you wish to buy food and add it to our collection points these are situated in Co-op, Lidl and Waitrose supermarkets after the checkouts. You can print a shopping list by downloading this page.
If you prefer to make a one off donation one can be made via Paypal using any one of our donation buttons.
If you wish to make a donation by Direct Debit then simply download the below form with our bank information.
What your donations buy
We are constantly trying to improve at Food Bank. Over the past few months, we have been increasing the amount of fresh fruit and vegetables we supply.
Thanks to Okehampton Baptist Church, the Food Bank now has additional cold storage. Consequently, we can store fresh food safely and for longer; so avoiding waste.
So, what goes into a food parcel? They can vary depending on what we have in stock but, a standard parcel will include the following ingredients:
